I’d like your face more
If you wore it towards the ground
I might be less ugly that way
And you might develop some organic charm

Knowing you,
You’d turn it into a straight jacket
Or a weapon fitted for my throat
The handle suits me more anyway

The thinning novelty of revenge songs
Is enough of an alarm
To ignite this contradiction.
